Our Mission...

Dani, founder of Wild Mongoose Alterations, is affectionately known as a mongoose by her friends. In 2021 she embarked on a journey to establish a business that could combat the cobra to her mongoose -the environmental threat and wastefulness of fast fashion.

From day one Dani envisioned Wild Mongoose Alterations not just as a service, but as a movement—a place where creativity and sustainability intersect. She believes that clothing should tell a story, reflect individuality, and withstand the test of time, rather than being discarded after a season. Her approach involves breathing new life into garments, transforming them into something special and personalized, while simultaneously encouraging her clients to rethink their consumption habits.

The mission doesn't stop with her clients. Dani is also an advocate for teaching the trades, including clothing alterations. She has had the opportunity to collaborate with the Smithson Valley High School fashion program and continuously trains a new generation of seamstresses in her shop. By offering expert alterations and teaching the trade, she aims to empower individuals to embrace a more conscious and intentional way of dressing.

Wild Mongoose Alterations stands as a testament to the idea that style can coexist with environmental responsibility.  Dani and her team are at the forefront of this movement, ready to take on the cobras of fast fashion one garment at a time.
